The Account Settings & Preferences section allows you to manage how your OCT24 account appears, operates, and communicates with you. These settings help personalize your experience while supporting account security and controlled access.
You can access this section at any time from your account menu.
Profile Overview
At the top of the profile page, users can view a summary of their account information, including:
- Profile avatar & display name
- Username
- Contact details (email and phone number)
- Member since date
- Account status (including verification status)
This section is informational and helps users quickly confirm their account details.
Important: Updating Your Personal Information
For security and compliance reasons, certain personal details cannot be edited after account creation.
- Name and phone number
These details cannot be changed manually from your profile settings.
If there is a spelling error or incorrect information, the KYC verification process is the final opportunity to submit the correct legal name and phone number. During verification, all information must match official identification documents. Once verification is completed, these details become locked.
- Email address
The registered email address cannot be changed at any stage. It is permanently linked to the account and used for verification, security checks, and account recovery.
Users are strongly advised to register using an email address they fully control. Incorrect details submitted and verified may not be reversible.
KYC Verification Status
The KYC Verification section shows whether your identity verification is:
- Not started
- Under review
- Completed
Completing verification may unlock additional platform functionality and higher operational limits, depending on availability.
Users can start or continue the verification process directly from this section when required.
Preferences Tab
The Preferences tab allows users to customize how information is displayed across the platform.
Language
Select the language used throughout the platform interface.
Currency
Choose a preferred currency for:
- Balance display
- Activity summaries
- Account overviews
This setting affects display only and does not change underlying transactions.
Theme
Switch between available visual themes (such as Dark or Light) based on viewing preference.
Security Tab
The Security tab focuses on protecting access to the account.
Change Password
Users can update their password at any time.
It is recommended to use a strong, unique password that is not reused on other platforms. Regular password updates help reduce the risk of unauthorized access.
Notification Tab
The Notifications tab allows users to manage how OCT24 communicates with them.
Email Notifications
Receive important account-related updates by email.
Offers & Announcements
Stay informed about platform updates, feature releases, and general announcements.
Security Alerts
Receive notifications related to security-related events, such as login activity or account changes.
Each notification type can be enabled or disabled individually.
