KYC (Know Your Customer) verification on OCT24 is a guided, step-by-step process designed to help protect your account and enable access to certain platform features when required.
You can begin using OCT24 without completing KYC. However, identity verification may be requested when additional security checks or feature requirements apply.
Before You Start
To complete the verification process smoothly, please ensure you have the following ready:
- A valid, government-issued identity document
- Clear and readable images or files of your document
- Accurate personal details that exactly match your identity document
Important:
The information and documents submitted must belong to you, the OCT24 account holder.
Step 1: Select Country & Document Type
To begin verification:
- Go to Profile β KYC Verification
- Select the country that issued your identity document
- Choose one of the supported document types:
- Passport
- National ID card
- Driverβs license
- Residence permit
Please ensure the selected document is valid and not expired.
Step 2: Enter Personal Details & Upload Document
In this step, you will be asked to provide:
- First name and last name
- Phone number
- Document identification number
- A clear image or file of your identity document
Upload Requirements
- Upload a clear photo or scanned copy of the document
- Accepted file formats: JPG, PNG, or PDF
- Maximum file size: 10 MB
- The entire document must be visible and readable
Your information is encrypted and used solely for identity verification purposes.
Step 3: Review & Submit
Before submitting your verification request:
- Review all entered details carefully
- Confirm that the document belongs to you
- Ensure names and document numbers exactly match your ID
Once confirmed, click Submit KYC to complete the process.
After Submission
After submission:
- Your verification status will change to Under Review
- Most verifications are processed quickly, but review may take up to 48 hours
- You will be notified if:
- Your verification is approved
- Additional information is required
- There is an issue with your submission
Common Reasons for KYC Rejection
Verification may be rejected if:
- An incorrect or unrelated image is uploaded
- Entered details do not match the identity document
- The document belongs to another person
- The image is unclear, cropped, or unreadable
If your submission is rejected, you will receive guidance on how to correct and resubmit it.
Important Notes About Personal Information
- Name and phone number cannot be edited after account creation
- The KYC process is the final opportunity to correct spelling errors in these fields
- Your registered email address cannot be changed at any stage
