This article explains what happens after you submit your identity verification (KYC), how the review process works, what verification unlocks, and how to avoid common issues during submission.

KYC Review Process & Timeline

Once you submit your KYC information and documents, your verification enters a secure review process.

  • Most verifications are reviewed promptly
  • In some cases, the review may take up to 48 hours

You will be notified if:

  • Your verification is approved
  • Additional information is required
  • There is an issue with your submission

During the review period, your account remains accessible. However, certain features or limits may remain restricted until verification is completed.

KYC Status Explained

You may see one of the following verification statuses in your profile:

  • Not Verified – Identity verification has not been submitted
  • Under Review – Your documents are currently being reviewed
  • Approved – Verification completed successfully
  • Rejected – An issue was found with the submission (details provided)

Status updates are shown in your profile and, where applicable, through platform notifications.

What KYC Unlocks (Limits & Benefits)

Completing identity verification strengthens account security and may expand access to platform features.

After approval, users may gain:

  • Higher withdrawal limits
  • Reduced operational restrictions
  • Improved account recovery protection
  • Stronger confirmation of account ownership

KYC is part of OCT24’s risk-based security framework and may be required when certain thresholds, actions, or security conditions are met.

Common Reasons for KYC Rejection

If a verification request is rejected, it is usually due to one of the following reasons:

1. Incorrect or Unclear Document Image

  • The uploaded image is blurry, cropped, expired, or unrelated
  • The document must be fully visible, readable, and valid

2. Mismatched Information

  • Entered details do not exactly match the identity document
  • Spelling differences or missing information can result in rejection

3. Account Ownership Mismatch

  • Verification must be completed by the OCT24 account owner
  • Submitting documents for another individual is not permitted

If an issue occurs, you will be informed and guided on the next steps where applicable.

  • Verification data is encrypted and securely stored
  • Information is processed only for verification and compliance purposes
  • Personal data is not sold or shared for marketing or unrelated use
