Allocation Structure; Fixed vs Dynamic

Learn the difference between Fixed and Dynamic allocation so you can choose the Auto Trade strategy that best fits your preferences.

When creating an Auto Trade plan, you'll choose how the system determines the trade amount for each executed trade.

OCT24 offers two allocation methods:

  • Fixed Allocation
  • Dynamic Allocation

Both options use your available balance and follow your Auto Trade settings. The only difference is how the trade amount is selected.

Fixed Allocation

With Fixed Allocation, every executed trade uses the exact amount you specify.

This option is ideal if you want consistent trade sizes throughout your Auto Trade session.

Example

Trade Amount: 20 OCT

Executed trades:

  • Trade 1 β†’ 20 OCT
  • Trade 2 β†’ 20 OCT
  • Trade 3 β†’ 20 OCT
  • Trade 4 β†’ 20 OCT

Every executed trade uses the same amount until your Auto Trade plan ends or is stopped.

Dynamic Allocation

With Dynamic Allocation, you set a Maximum Trade Amount instead of a fixed amount.

For each executed trade, the system automatically selects a random amount between 1 OCT and your chosen maximum.

Example

Maximum Trade Amount: 20 OCT

Executed trades may use:

  • Trade 1 β†’ 6 OCT
  • Trade 2 β†’ 17 OCT
  • Trade 3 β†’ 9 OCT
  • Trade 4 β†’ 20 OCT

Each trade amount is selected independently, and no trade will exceed your specified maximum.

Which Option Should I Choose?

Choose Fixed Allocation if you:

  • Prefer predictable trade sizes.
  • Want every executed trade to use the same amount.
  • Like maintaining consistent exposure across trades.

Choose Dynamic Allocation if you:

  • Prefer varying trade amounts.
  • Want the system to allocate different amounts automatically.
  • Are comfortable with changing exposure between executed trades.

Neither option is better than the otherβ€”they simply offer different ways to allocate your trading amount.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Dynamic Allocation exceed my maximum amount?

No. The system will never execute a trade above the Maximum Trade Amount you set.

Is the Dynamic Allocation amount random?

Yes. Each executed trade uses a randomly selected amount between 1 OCT and your specified maximum.

Can I switch between Fixed and Dynamic later?

Yes. However, an active Auto Trade plan cannot be edited. To use a different allocation method, stop your current Auto Trade plan and create a new one.

Does the allocation method affect my trading results?

No. The allocation method only determines how much is allocated to each executed trade. It does not influence trading performance or outcomes.

Disclaimer

Fixed and Dynamic Allocation are allocation methods only. They determine how trade amounts are distributed within your Auto Trade plan and do not guarantee profits or reduce trading risk. Users should select the option that best matches their trading preferences and understand the risks before activating Auto Trade.
