Understanding Metrics: Win Rate, Target Level & Loss Coverage

This article explains the meaning of Win Rate, Target Level, and Loss Coverage as shown in OCT24’s Trading Bots interface. These metrics are provided to help users understand how signals have behaved historically and how certain system rules apply during execution.

These metrics are informational only and do not represent predictions, guarantees, or expected outcomes.

Win Rate

Win Rate represents the historical percentage of completed signals that closed at their defined target level over a given period.

What Win Rate means

  • It is calculated from past signal outcomes
  • It reflects historical behavior, not future probability
  • It is shown for context and transparency

What Win Rate does NOT mean

  • It does not predict future results
  • It does not guarantee similar outcomes
  • It does not affect how a signal executes
A higher or lower win rate does not change signal behavior or execution logic.

Target Level

Target Level refers to a predefined reference point used to determine when a signal completes under normal conditions.

What Target Level means

  • It defines the completion condition of a signal
  • If reached, the signal closes according to its rules
  • Any resulting balance change is recorded after completion

What Target Level does NOT mean

  • It is not a guaranteed outcome
  • It is not a promise of gain
  • It does not indicate expected performance
The target level is a system reference, not a forecast.

Loss Coverage

Loss Coverage is a platform-defined mechanism that may apply when a signal closes unfavorably.

What Loss Coverage means

  • A predefined coverage amount or percentage may be applied
  • It is designed to partially offset unfavorable outcomes
  • Coverage rules are applied automatically by the system when applicable

What Loss Coverage does NOT mean

  • It does not eliminate risk
  • It does not guarantee recovery
  • It does not prevent negative outcomes
Loss coverage reduces exposure in certain scenarios but does not remove the possibility of loss.

How These Metrics Are Used Together

  • Win Rate provides historical context
  • Target Level defines signal completion conditions
  • Loss Coverage explains how certain unfavorable outcomes may be adjusted

None of these metrics:

  • Influence execution timing
  • Change signal behavior
  • Override market conditions

Execution occurs strictly based on signal resolution and user activation.

Important Notes for Users

  • All metrics are based on historical or predefined references
  • Market conditions can change rapidly
  • Past signal behavior does not indicate future outcomes
  • Users remain responsible for allocation decisions

These metrics are shown to improve transparency, not to guide or recommend participation.

Regulatory Notice

Win Rate, Target Level, and Loss Coverage are informational metrics displayed as part of OCT24’s execution interface. They are not forecasts, guarantees, or financial advice.

OCT24 does not control market outcomes and does not promise specific results.
